Engr. Professor Remy Uche
EDUCATION: Remy was trained at the Federal University of Technology, Owerri where he earned B.Eng., M.Eng., and Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering (Industrial and Production).
EMPLOYMENT: Remy is a tenure staff with the rank of a Professor at the Federal University of Technology, Owerri. He has served the University in different Committees, Boards, Units and Positions which include member of the University Governing Council (2013-2017), Dean of Student Affairs (2010-2012), Director of Intellectual Property and Technology Transfer Office (March 2014-July 2014 -July 2014), Head of Mechanical Engineering Department (2014-2016), Director of Public Procurement Research Centre (2018 -2023) and he is currently serving as the Dean, School of Engineering and Engineering Technology. Remy represented the Universities in the South-East Geo-Political Zone in the Governing Board of the Council for the Regulation of Engineering in Nigeria (COREN) from December 2015 to December 2018.
PROFESSIONAL AFFILIATIONS: He is a COREN Registered Engineer (R12,203), a Fellow of the Nigerian Society of Engineers [FNSE], Fellow Nigeria Institute of Management [FNIM]; Fellow Nigeria Institution of Industrial Engineers, Senior Member - Institute of Industrial Engineers (IIE); Member, Society of Manufacturing Engineers (SME); Member, the Minerals, Metals and Materials Society (TMS); Member, Association of Manufacturing Excellence (ASME); and Member, American Society of Mechanical Engineers, (ASME). Remy also served as a member of Council of the Nigerian Society of Engineers in his capacity as the Owerri Branch Chairman of NSE (2010-2012); Chief Inspector, Owerri ERM [Engineering Regulation Monitoring] Inspectorate, Imo State (2015-2018). He has led many COREN accreditation teams to many Engineering Faculties in different Universities locally and internationally. He has served and still serving as External Examiners in many universities in Nigeria. He was a visiting scholar, University of Port Harcourt (2009-2010) and a Research Officer at the Niger Delta Development Commission, Port Harcourt (2017-2018) while on sabbatical leave.
ROTARY CLUB OF OWEERI: Remy served the Rotary Club of Owerri as Secretary, Vice President, President Elect, President (2003-2004) at different times. He is a one Star Paul Harris Fellow of Rotary International
CATHOLIC KNIGHTHOOD: Remy is the Supreme Subordinate President of the Knights of St. John International in Nigeria.
SPECIAL RECOGNITIONS/HONOUR: Remy is both a Justice of the Peace, JP of Imo State Judicial Council and Jerusalem Pilgrim, JP.
RESEARCH AND PUBLICATIONS: Remy is keenly interested in the management of simple and complex production systems involving machines, material, and money for optimal production. He has published widely in both local and international journals in this area of expertise.
Marital Status: Remy is married to Lady Chidinma Uche and the marriage is blessed with 4 children.

It focuses on current innovations, potential opportunities, and the strategic use of gas as a transitional energy source to lead Africa towards a sustainable future.
H.E. (Engr) Wendell De Landro
His Excellency, Engineer Wendell Vincent Carlton De Landro was appointed High Commissioner of the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago to the Federal Republic of Nigeria in April 2018. His credentials were presented to President Muhammadu Buhari of Nigeria on September 13th 2018 and to President Nanna Addo Dankwo Akufo-Addo of Ghana in November 6th 2019. He is also accredited to Algeria, Cameroon, Liberia, Senegal, Sierra Leone, Kenya, Tanzania, Uganda, Democratic Republic of Congo, Cote d’Ivoire and as an Observer to ECOWAS and a member of the African Union.
This is his first Diplomatic appointment but not his first time in Nigeria. He lived and worked in Port Harcourt with Shell from 2006 to 2010. In fact, Wendell has 42 years of international experience in the Oil and Gas industry. He has worked for several major IOCs; namely Amoco, BP, Qatar Petroleum, Shell and Saudi Aramco in various managerial and technical positions in Trinidad, Houston, Qatar, Holland, Nigeria and Saudi Arabia.
He has a wealth of experience in the Oil and Gas sector which makes him very suitable for his current position as ambassador for his country, Trinidad and Tobago which has a long-standing history of oil and gas. His specialty is Upstream Gas Operations and Field Development. He is a certified SPE Petroleum Engineer with a BSc. in Chemical Engineering, a MSc. in Petroleum Management and an MBA in finance.
